This is a South Gippsland ride that takes in Toora wind farm, Port Franklin and the attractions of Agnes Falls Scenic Reserve. It departs Pakenham Maccas at 09:00 in a big morning that of course takes a circuitous route to get there. A smoko stop is planned at Leongatha, we extend to Welshpool, then turn for a cafe lunch at Toora. The afternoon leg involves 2 km of gravel to help keep things interesting. Finish is the highway Caltex at Koo Wee Rup.
Officially the route is only 315 km but it involves demanding roads, several interest stops and potentially big commutes. Suited to intermediate-plus riders who can afford a full day.
