This years Grand Final w/e ride is heading East. With the Bonang Rd now freshly sealed all the way through. This year being done in reverse. From north to south. Bombala to Orbost. This could be the highlight of the tour if not the Mt Darragh road will be.

Orbost is base for the two nights in a program that includes NSW's Mount Darragh Rd for something different. The snaking, 105 km of Bonang Road now freshly sealed is of course a highlight. Day 2 will be one of amazement. Ensure your tyres have plenty of grip. There will be enough twisties to have you wanting cheezels.
So remember the price is for 2 nights accomodation.
This ride is suited to bike-fit riders with a reasonable level of experience.
Orbost accommodation will be the Orbost Countryman Motor Inn https://orbostcountryman.com.au/ - an itinerary with route, catering and stay arrangements will be emailed to registrants in the week before. Gippsland Members have the option to join us on Saturday at Heyfield (fuel and lunch).
Lunch will be at the Railway Hotel https://www.railwayhotelheyfield.com.au/
Departing at 0900 with a full tank of fuel and breakfast consumed. Rider briefing at 0845.
This year my plan is to do our usual run north of the freeway through Jindivic, Willow Grove, Heyfield (fuel & lunch), Stockdale, Bairnsdale, Bruthen, Nowa Nowa then Orbost.
Day 2. Will be a reverse Bonang ride heading Cann River first then north up to Eden. From here we'll go inland to Nethercote ,Wyndham and the up the Mt Darragh Rd before heading west to Bombala for lunch. With a nice leisurely lunch we'll head south down the Bonang Rd 'in reverse for most of us'. Never done it this way myself back to Orbost.
Day 3. The ride home will run south of the freeway after Bairnsdale turning left toward Meerlieu ,Clydebank then crossing over back to Glengarry ,Yallourn north Neerim south ,Powelltown finishing up at the Launching Place Home Hotel.
A generous number of motel rooms are reserved. Couples registration is for just that, couples! We will do our best to accommodate those preferring a single room and booking early will help. There is no guarantee of sufficient single rooms. Rooms will be allocated to those opting to share first. The remaining rooms will be allocated to singles on a first come basis. Unsuccessful Single registrations, if any, will revert to sharing and a 50% refund issued. Sound complicated? Possibly, but we aim for the best result for the most people.
