Brass Monkey Ride - Maffra

A ride to Licola leaving at 10 am? Yep, and with a bonus of completing the bitumen beyond Licola on the Jamieson and Tamboritha Roads - made possible with a stay at Maffra Motor Inn on Saturday night.

Sunday's preferred return is via the east end of the Strzelecki Ranges. It comes together with a 9 km section of Grand Ridge Road that is unsealed between Carrajung and Balook. The idea will be aborted unless road condition is confirmed in the days prior and the weather is cheery. If it is confirmed, riders preferring otherwise can take an alternative route on bitumen and reconvene over morning tea at Traralgon South.

An early finish is planned at Nar Nar Goon to provide a head start to what remains of the Kings Birthday long weekend. 

Caps are presently set at 6 twin sharers, 3 couples and 7 singles. They may alter with the pattern of registrations. Waitlists will operate and we will do our best to fit everyone up to the cut-off. The event will be locked after Thursday, June 1 - that is how it must be.

It is a roll of the dice with the weather - a weekend of 650 km, plus commutes, and fresh territory for at least some. Suited to hardy, touring types.
