The DOCV's Mission statement:
To deliver value and opportunities to our members so they can continue to enjoy and develop their motorcycling experience with Ducati
Let's face it, motorbikes are all about fun and enjoyment, and the club will add a lot to that for you. Ducati owners are known for their passion and enthusiasm for the brand and we bring all that together within the auspices of the worldwide Desmo Owners Club, which the DOCV is the authorised Victorian organisation. We support our members in as many ways as we can and so there is something for everyone. There are organised group rides, track days, meetings, support for club registrations, technical advice, tools, manuals etc. All of this is done within the context of a welcoming community providing a strong social foundation for all that we do. So much so, that about 20% of our memberships are family memberships. Our events are organised so that members can interact and share their knowledge, experience and stories. Our highly rated monthly magazine, Desmoto, keeps our members in touch with what is going on in the Ducati world and in our club. It contains messages from the club's leadership, the press, members contributions, information on upcoming events and members classified advertisements. Our monthly meetings generally feature a raffle with great prizes, interesting speaker's talking about a variety of topics ranging from products, motorcycling issues, safety, etc. Our crown jewel benefit is our overnight rides, which are expertly organised and would rival any commercial motorcycle tour. Here you will travel in good company on well selected routes to places you may ordinarily never go to. The camaraderie, support and enjoyment our overnight (sometimes a lot longer) events provide is unmatchable outside of a club and ours are amongst the very best! In addition to that your DOCV membership provides you:

VicRoads Club registration schemeThe VicRoads Club Permit Scheme allows Club members to ride/drive classic vehicles (25 years or older) for a limited time without the requirement of full registration. You must be a full member of our Club to participate in the scheme. Before you proceed with your Club membership and/or a Road Worthy Certificate, we suggest you to contact our Club Permit Coordinator, to establish that your vehicle would be suitable to join the Scheme. |
