  This is an information post only. DOCNSW’s 43rd Thunder Rally is scheduled for October 11-13. There is no official DOCV contingent travelling up for the Rally this year however help is available for those who self-organise. Whether you are into old style rallies or not it is a great excuse to venture north and explore some of NSW’s best roads.

  Food and firewood will be available at the Sheba Dams site and the usual raffles and awards will occur on Saturday evening. All profits are donated to Royal Ryde Rehabilitation Hospital.

  Non-camping options are available in Nundle township if booked early. Alternatively, the Rally can be attended from Tamworth. A minimum itinerary of 8 days is recommended.

  You may remember we held a past committee member lunch as part of our 40^th anniversary celebrations in 2016, and again in 2018. Both events were such a success we’ve decided to run one again.

  So we are inviting all past and present committee members to join us for a lunch to reconnect with old friends, meet new friends and talk all things DOCV and Ducati. 

  This year we will be heading to the Studley Grounds in Kew (recommended by Pres Oliver).

  It is reasonably central for everyone, wthe food is great, and there is easy parking for bikes and cars. 

  To keep things simple we have a delicious set menu at $40 per person.

  A payment of $20 is required for your booking which will be deducted from your bill. See Desmoto for details of the set menu.
  
  Note: when registering you will be taken to the PayPal screen. There is an option "Pay with a Card" under the PayPal button. You can use this if you don't use PayPal.

  After a hugely enjoyable event last December it's back - make sure you register for the best Phillip Island Fun Day run in 2024.
  The Club has secured another great date, so make sure you don't miss out! 

  Early Bird pricing will be available for Club Members only up to Sunday September 21st, so jump in early to save yourself some $$$.

  The day will be run under an MV permit as we have done before, so if you do not have a current annual MA or MV licence, you will need to purchase a One Event Licence before the day. Riders will not be allowed onto the track without one. Allow around $38 for your OEL.  

  Race Center will be providing track services  - tyres, servicing and proven coaching. The resurfaced PI track is grippy but wears tyres fast - book your favourite tyres with Race Center asap: Harley 0457 195 630.
  Harley and Darren will look after you, so book any other services you may need too.

  A modest but sharp day that starts from Yarra Glen and finishes at Healesville, or earlier at Launching Place if it suits. There will be stops at Steavenson Falls, Lake Mountain and Reefton Hotel for lunch.

  The day amounts to 3:45 saddle time and 180 km. A short, 4 km section of dirt is proposed between Launching Place and Healesville. It is Shire road but avoidable if preferred.

  Departure point is the Butlers Pantry Rowville at 8.30am. Please ensure you have a full tank of fuel in your machine of travel and if your stomach is empty you only have to wait until Neerim South where we shall stop for comfort and refreshment.

  Lunch will be at the Travellers Rest Thorpdale.

  Accommodation booked at Dargo are all the motel rooms, Dargo Central and one cabin.

  Motel accommodation is for genuine couples until the 3rd November, then any remaining rooms can be taken up as single accommodation. Book as a single and drop me an email (grloe@aussieb.com.au) requesting an upgrade and I will generate a list in order of request. If rooms become available I will create a room upgrade category and you will then pay the difference.
  

  Dargo Central has two single rooms with a king single the rest is shared accomm. with a total of seven guests.

  A Cabin has a total of 4 guests with a room with a double and a room with 3 singles, with a bed above each single for you to place your gear on.

  The evening meal is booked for 7.00pm so plenty of time to relax and socialise before hand.
